The Tales and Travels of Taylor Made PA – Tools of the Trade Part 2

Hello!

Welcome to another edition of The Tales & Travels of Taylor Made PA and this month I am sharing Part II of my favourite “Tools of the Trade”.

My Favourite Tool of the Trade – Part II

Social Media Scheduling Tools

As a Virtual PA using tools that help with Productivity is key to me and my clients. And you will see a theme with my preferred tools – they all make things quick and simple!

There are now lots of tools available for this purpose with benefits of each and also some negatives. Many Social Media Experts claim that using scheduling tools can affect reach of a post and is something to consider.

For this reason, I use Facebook Creator Studio for both Facebook and Instagram as it allows you to cross post between sites and coming from within the platform should help and not hinder reach.

For LinkedIn I love Hootsuite. It allows 3 pages on the free plan and up to 30 posts at a time. Which means that you can create more posts and save more time by batching up your posts.

I personally don’t use Twitter extensively for Business but do schedule to redirect posts to my other platforms and for this I use Tweetdeck. Another platform that allows a large number of posts that can be batched together at a time.

Alternative options include:

Buffer

Later

Planonly

Content Cal

Meet Edgar

Smarter Queue – which I hear fantastic reviews of and plan to explore this year!

Design and Creative

I just LOVE Canva for this!!

I would be the first to say that I am not creative. But Canva makes it so easy! You can load your brand colours and fonts. And on the paid version which I now have, you can load your clients brand fonts.

But the best trick on the paid version is being able to resize your designs to fit all the different sizes that Social Media requires. How much time does that save! It pays for itself in time saved!

On Free and Paid versions, you have access to 100’s of templates that can be easily updated to meet your brand identity with the click of a button. It also gives access to 1000’s of photographs thanks to a collaboration with Pixabay which is now owned by Canva.

Email Marketing

I recently launched a newsletter version of The Tales and Travels of Taylor Made PA. I chose to use Mailerlite. Its free to use up to around 1000 subscribers… and I am not quite there yet! Have you signed up?

There are many that offer similar options both free and paid. It depends on where you are in your Business to whether you want to pay for a marketing tool.

Other option include:

Mailchimp

ConvertKit

Active Campaign

Hubspot

What tools help you run your business?

So that brings us to the end of my Part II Favourite Tools of the Trade.

Are there any tools that you would recommend that help with your productivity?

Is there an App you couldn’t live without? I’d love to hear about it!

Book a Productivity Power Hour or Strategy Call

Another tool could be increased productivity. Are you inspired to look at your own productivity? I now offer a new Productivity Power Hour to look at your systems and processes to manage your Diary & Inbox. From just £49.00. To book click here.
