The Tales and Travels of Taylor Made PA – Beaches Turks and Caicos

Hello!
Specialist Sales
My last year working in a retail travel agency on the High Street was back in 2002. I was the “Head of Specialist Sales” for the Holiday Hypermarket, which was part of the First Choice Holiday Group. Although originally the brainchild of John Donnelly, a former Footballer turned Holiday Entrepreneur. The stores were amazing. We had life size Elvis statues, an American Cadillac virtual reality style car to practice driving on the wrong side on the road. It was an experience.
Sandals and Beaches Certified
As a Specialist Sales Consultant, I specialised in booking not only Worldwide Destinations, but specialist areas like Cruise and Ski Holidays. And even back then I was passionate about self-development and learning.
One of the trainings I undertook back then was to become a Sandal Certified Consultant. I booked a lot of Sandals & Beaches Holidays and I really rated the Hotels and the experience they offered to guests. I was lucky enough to visit a number of the Jamaican Resorts as part of our Specialist Sales Conference back in 2000.
So, when I joined Premier Travel as a Homeworking Consultant in 2019, one of the first things I did was redo my Sandals and Beaches Certification
Turks and Caicos
Back in March 2002 in recognition of my sales for Sandals and Beaches Resorts I had the distinct privilege of having a complimentary week’s stay at the Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort.
So, me and the bestie – ironically, we were called Miss Smith and Miss Taylor, so couldn’t have looked more common if we tried on checking in to this beautiful 5* Luxury Resort! – we headed for a luxurious week in one of the most beautiful resorts in the Caribbean.
On arrival at Providenciales Airport I was met by the sight of a split suitcase, but I guess at least it arrived because Sarah is at least 5 inches taller than me!
Food & Spa
Having previously visited the Sandals Resorts within Jamaica I was really excited to visit Kimonos Restaurant once more. Kimono’s is a teppanyaki restaurant where the waiters create theatre whilst cooking the food in front of you. It’s amazing, you really must go if you get the chance!
After spending Day Two in the sun, maybe a bit too much sun in Sarah’s case, we spent Day Three recovering in the beautiful Beaches Spa. We brought some of their lovely Lemongrass Spa Products home with to use. And even now the smell of Lemongrass makes me think back to that holiday.
